By Linda Paine, Restoring Patriotism
The Right of the People to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
According to the Constitution We the People have the right to…
a. …be secure in our persons
In other words, if we have not broken the law, Americans cannot be searched or held against our will. Simply going to the airport does not constitute a reason to have porn worthy scans taken of our bodies, or to have TSA thugs molest us by running their hands over our private parts.
b. …against unreasonable searches
Simply going to the airport does not constitute a reason to have porn worthy scans taken of our bodies, or to have TSA thugs molest us by running their hands over our private parts.
c. …no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause
The reality is, THERE IS NO REASON for these employees of the TSA to use pornographic scans or ‘molest by way of pat down’ any citizen…old or young…unless they can support the very specific reason the citizen is being searched in a court of law.
d. …particularly describing the place to be searched
If a citizen is to be searched, there must be a specific place that is to be searched based on a warrant that indicates the reason that the specific place is being searched. TSA employees are running their hands up and down the bodies of citizens, young and old, without a warrant and without probable cause.
Instead of protecting the rights of all Americans, our House, Senate, and President have allowed the TSA to dismiss our 4th Amendment Right to be protected from unreasonable searches and have allowed this travesty to become material for commentary on news stations. Instead of governing, our elected officials are allowing a few polls, answered by people who rarely travel, to provide cover for their unwillingness to uphold the Constitution.
Part of the problem is that Americans don’t know their Constitutional Rights…and if they do, they don’t know their history. The horrors of WWII happened because good people did nothing when Tyrants grabbed for power. They were manipulated into accepting humiliating and dehumanizing governing and ignored tyranny as long it was happening to someone else.
The Progressives have been ‘shark bumping’ Americans since the Twin Towers went down. They used the fear of another attack to convince us to give up our 4th Amendment right to be protected from illegal searches & seizures.
They seized bottles of shampoo and nail clippers to ‘bump’ us and find out if we would protest; we didn’t. We simply allowed our items to be seized in the name of safety. Now we have pornographic scanners and intrusive pat downs designed to program Americans do what they are told, ignore personal boundaries and a sense of decency, and accept the humiliation and powerlessness that comes with this.
Americans are doing such a good job doing what they are told that when TSA thugs demand that their children be handed over for a ‘routine’ groping and fondling, parents comply!! They watch their children being molested and don’t raise a word of protest. This will come back to haunt them one day. Children look to their parents as their protectors, but instead of protecting them, they simply watch.
Just because some Americans are willing to give up their 4th Amendment right to be protected from illegal searches and seizure doesn’t negate the Constitution. Janet Napolitano and the TSA do what they do because Americans let them. In a sense, we are being programmed to ‘get on the trains.’
